Educators, parents, students, and community members are now able to submit anonymous tips through Safe2Say Something, a new statewide youth violence prevention program and reporting system. We want parents and guardians to know that CDTCA has a plan in place for the use and implementation of Safe2Say.
The program, which is mandated under PA state law, teaches students in grades 5-12, educators, and administrators how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, of individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and to say something to a trusted adult or use its anonymous reporting system.
With the anonymous reporting system, it’s easy and confidential to report safety concerns to help prevent violence and tragedies.
Here is how the program works:
CDTCA also has a plan to inform our students about the program through age-appropriate presentations.
As always, the safety and security of our students and staff remain our top priority, and we constantly strive to implement the latest technology to keep our buildings safe.
