FUNDRAISING

FUNDRAISING POLICY

The Diocesan policy for funding elementary Catholic schools calls for each school to have fundraising activities to generate at least 10% of their total operating budget. School parents are expected to participate in these fundraising activities to the best of their ability through monetary donations, and purchases.

GIFT CARD PROGRAM
The Gift Card Program is one of our easiest fundraisers! When you purchase a gift card, you’re purchasing gift certificates and cards that are used just like cash. You can use these gift cards to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for CDTCA!

CDTCA buys the gift certificates from Great Lakes Scrip Center at a discount, and re-sells the certificates for full face value. The discount from 2 to 15% – is our profit, and counts toward a discount on your last tuition payment. The more we all purchase and use these gift certificates, the more CDTCA can make.

This is a great fundraiser because you spend money ONLY on items you are already going to purchase. Please consider using a little forethought and purchase gift certificates for all your needs, whether you like crafting, eating out, home repair projects, or just shopping, we have the gift card cards for you.

Please see the admissions tab for the certificate order forms!

All orders placed on Monday by 9:00am are returned on Thursday. During the school year, local merchant certificates may be purchased daily at the school office until 2:30.

ANNUAL EVENTS THAT BENEFIT CDTCA

Fall Fling      Annual fundraiser, obviously held in the Fall. This fundraiser is usually held at a local country club or other local venue and boasts dinner, live entertainment and a robust auction – including live and silent auction items.

Night at the Races     Second of the “Big 3” , usually held the first weekend in March. Night at the races is held in the CDTCA gymnasium, giving a more casual feel. Dinner, live entertainment, small games of chance, and a Chinese auction are featured at this event.

Golf Outing     The third of the “Big 3” fundraisers, the Golf Outing is held in May, usually at a local country club. Patrons are able to partake in lunch, 18 holes of golf, and dinner with silent auction items and prizes.
